About me.

I'm a dad to five kids — three biological, two adopted — and married to a woman who works full-time in foster care advocacy.

We've fostered in various capacities over the last decade. I helped Foster the City grow as a nonprofit, leading their rebrand and now serving on their advisory board.

I restore old Dodge, Plymouth, and Chrysler vehicles. In high school I restored a 1968 Dodge Charger with my dad — sold it eventually, and I still regret it. My current project is a 1972 Plymouth Duster that I've been building an engine for over the last two years. There's a direct line between this and design: bridging the gap between a creative vision and the technical execution required to bring it to life.

The methods of creating vary. Acrylics, plaster, digital composites, murals, typographic posters, pencil sketches — all of it. Painting is where I process things that don't fit into a design system. It's less about the output and more about the act of making something with no brief.

I shoot when something catches my eye. No particular genre — landscapes, details, whatever feels worth stopping for.

We live on three acres in Felton, tucked into the Santa Cruz Mountains. I'm learning how to manage a forest, keep rodents out of my cars, maintain the land, and coexist with the wildlife. Poison oak has won twice since we moved here a year ago.
