Companies That Cared

In my work history there are some key moments where I felt companies were caring of their employees over profit.

At Zuora it was paternity leave for my first and second born where I felt I could truly just shut down and be present with my family.

At PlanetScale it was the mandatory mental health days off once a month and the minimal meeting culture that helped me value my craft and work life balance.

At Prosimo it was the employer funded health care account that had low premiums and covered 90% of our OOP expenses that helped us navigate expenses for my wife's battle with cancer.

Just putting it out there. None of these companies were perfect, but these moments and gestures were meaningful and memorable to an employee like me. Not just empty value statements in a corporate pitch deck or company page.
